Meet Shelby

Hey, I’m Shelby — the stylist behind Dye Pretty Hair Lounge. I have been licensed since 2015, and have spent my career helping people feel comfortable in their own reflection. My work focuses on color services, primarily vivid hair color, blonding, gray blending, and low-maintenance color that still feels personal. I have experience working with curly hair, alternative styles, and looks with a little extra personality.

I became a hairstylist because I love taking care of people. I love being part of the moment when someone sees themselves differently. Softer, bolder, more confident, more them.

I’m not here for rushed, copy-paste hair. I’m here for thoughtful, personal, collaborative hair. I want your hair to fit your lifestyle, your maintenance level, and your personality.

My chair is a low pressure, LGBTQ+ affirming space where you don’t have to have the perfect words for what you want. You can bring the screenshots, the vague ideas, the “I don’t know what I want, but this isn’t it,” and we’ll figure it out together.

Dye Pretty was created to be a space that feels personal, expressive, and a little quirky — an extension of who I am and the kind of experience I want my guests to have. My goal is to take care of my fellow weirdos, create a space where people feel safe and seen, and make some really cool hair along the way.
